Good Citizens are those seniors in high school who demonstrate the qualities of a good citizen, namely dependability, leadership and patriotism in their homes, schools and community.

Matt has demonstrated all of these qualities in many ways. Carol Barnhart, his counselor at North High, in nominating Matt for the local Good Citizen Award, described Matt as "A stereotypical topnotch, well-rounded, athletic, intelligent, dependable and oozing the leadership student!"
