Officials break ground for second of three new schools

Work is underway at the site of a replacement school for Maugansville Elementary, expected to open in 2008. At a groundbreaking ceremony today, officials said the new school was a well-deserved addition to the Maugansville community and has received a lot of support.

The new building will be two stories and 91,586 square feet with capacity for 735 students. The anticipated project cost is $23 million. Get detail's in Wednesday's Morning Herald.
