Clement sets school record

PRINCETON, N.J. - Hagerstown Community College sophomore Tony Clement broke a 30-year-old school record in the 1,500-meter run by a hundredth of a second at the Larry Ellis Invitational.

Clement won his heat and placed 12th overall in the event in 3:47.38. The previous mark of 3:47.39 was set by Mike Fussell when he won the NJCAA national title in 1977.


Shenandoah 6-23, HCC 1-10

Hagerstown Community College was held to four hits in an opening-game loss to Shenandoah, which completed the doubleheader sweep in a run-filled second-game.


Jacob Darr had the only RBI for the Hawks (17-18) in the first game.

In the nightcap, Hagerstown had 12 hits. Roland Thiele led the way with three hits and two RBIs, while Jason Gordner had two hits and two RBIs. Tyler Beard and Cory Livengood each added two hits.


Moser, Ebeling earn WVIAC honors

Shepherd University juniors Casey Moser and Arthur Ebeling were named to the All-West Virginia Conference Team. Moser earned Player of the Year honors for the second straight season.

Moser led the Rams to the regular-season title, compiling a 6-0 record in both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Ebeling is a first time All-WVIAC honoree.
