Scouten-Yang

Kendra Jeanette Scouten and Stephen Daehyun Yang announce their engagement.

Ms. Scouten is the daughter of JoRetha Scouten of Fayetteville, Pa., and the late Rev. Wesley Scouten. She is a graduate of Smithsburg High School. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Maryland, College Park. She plans to graduate in May with a master's degree in church history and a master's degree in theology from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in May.

Mr. Yang is the son of Samuel and Eunice Yang of Southern California. He is a graduate of the University of California in Los Angeles with a bachelor's degree in philosophy. He plans to graduate with a master's of divinity degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in May.

A September wedding is planned.




Lowman-Ragland

Marshall and Trisha Lowman of Hagerstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Cheree Nicole Lowman, to Robert Ragland III, son of Robert and Kathy Ragland of Hagerstown.

Ms. Lowman is a 2003 graduate of Washington County Technical High School. She is employed with ARC of Washington County as an outreach worker in the Individual Family Support Services department.

Mr. Ragland is a 2002 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He is employed by Food Lion Distribution in Pennsylvania in the transportation department as a switcher.

An Aug. 4, 2007, wedding is planned.




Sanderson-Young

Ben and Brenda Sanderson of Williamsport announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Sanderson, to Daniel Young, son of Ralph and Dotty Young of Hagerstown.

Ms. Sanderson is a 1999 graduate of Williamsport High School. She is employed as an accountant for a paper distribution company.

Mr. Young is a 1999 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 2003 graduate of Frostburg State University. He is employed as a tactical specialist with MPRI.

An Oct. 6, 2007, wedding is planned.




Forsyth-West

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rowland of Downsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberley K. Forsyth, to Jeffery L. West, son of David and Dorthy West of Williamsport.

Ms. Forsyth is a 1979 graduate of Williamsport High School and is employed as a line cook with Bob Evans.

Mr. West is a 1980 graduate of Williamsport High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2002. He is employed with the State of Maryland.

A summer 2008, wedding is planned.




Shillingberg-Gorombol

Stephen and Robin Nye of Hagerstown, and Jack Shillingberg of Knoxville, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Shillingberg, to Michael Gorombol, son of Jerry and Joyce Gorombol of Hagerstown.

Miss Shillingberg is a 2000 graduate of Williamsport High School. She is employed as a medical assistant for Windhorse Healthcare in Hawaii.

Mr. Gorombol is a 2000 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He has been enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps for seven years and is stationed in Hawaii.

A July 2007, wedding is planned.




Malejko-Myers

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Malejko, of Hagerstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Maria Patricia Malejko, to Lannie Myers Jr., son of Lannie Myers Sr. of Hagerstown and Shirley Myers of Fairplay.

A fall 2007, wedding is planned.




Lewis-Alexander

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lewis, of Fountainville, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Donna Lewis, to Anthony (Tony) Alexander of Hagerstown, son of Allen and Betty Alexander of Hagerstown.

Ms. Lewis is a graduate of Central Bucks West High School and York College of Pennsylvania. She received a masters degree in business from Shippensburg University. She is employed as a marketing director with Kegerreis Outdoor Advertising, LLC in Chambersburg, Pa.

Mr. Alexander is a graduate of Smithsburg High School and Hagerstown Community College with an associate degree in mechanical engineering technology. He is a journeyman member of the Plumbers/Steamfitters Local Union 486 and is employed as a CAD coordinator at John J. Kirlin, LLC in Rockville, Md.

A June wedding is planned.
