FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Wilma Lee "Dutch" Hoover, 76, of 161 Ditto Farms Drive, died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 10, 1931, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence W. McGowan and Mearl R. Godlove McGowan Williams.
She retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service.
She attended Downsville Christian Church.
She was a member of American Legion Post 42.
She is survived by one sister, Lucille Keyser of Hagerstown; three brothers, Lawrence McGowan of Falling Waters, Paul McGowan of Hagerstown, and Bernard Williams of Tennessee; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Richard Williams; and two brothers, Carl McGowan and Railey Williams.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Craig Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

SMITHSBURG- Pearl Frey Brown, 97, of Greensburg Road, Smithsburg, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born June 14, 1909, in Greensburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Archie E. and Margaret C. Stouffer Frey.
She attended Greensburg area schools.
She was employed with Gardenhour Orchards, Smithsburg.
She attended Welty Church of the Brethren and Ringgold Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce E. Stevenson of Waynesboro, Pa; two sons, Lester Brown Jr. of Smithsburg and Don E. Brown of Boonsboro; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three nieces; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald R. Brown; one daughter, Betty Rohrer; two sisters, Mary Frey and Cora Himes; and two brothers, Clarence Frey and Ira Frey.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, with Pastor Mike Manthos officiating.
Burial will be in Welty Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jane E. Rhodes, 88

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Jane E. Rhodes, 88, of Shook Home, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, in the home.
Born Aug. 2, 1918, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Grace Remmel Englerth.
A member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg, she taught Christian education at both the church and Scotland School for Veterans Children, Scotland, Pa.
She was a member of the Women's Council of Catholic Women, a former Brownie leader in Girl Scouts, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, a member of Kittochtinny Historical Society; and served as docent at the Old Jail Museum.
Her husband, Frank C. Rhodes, died Oct. 2, 2004.
She is survived by three daughters, Christine R. Butler of Chambersburg; Carroll J. Rhodes of Bellefonte, Pa.; and Catherine E. Shadle of Chambersburg; one sister, Catherine Karper of Chambersburg; six granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father James R. O'Brien as celebrant. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Edna Ruth Jackson, 91, of Martinsburg, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born Nov. 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Ordel B. and Katie Cushwa Hinton.
Her husband, Edward B. "Ned" Jackson, preceded her in death.
She worked for 28 years at the Sally Shop in Martinsburg.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one sister, Gladys Yurish of Martinsburg; nieces and nephews.
