Pediatrician promoted to clinical professor



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Eastern Division of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center announces the promotion of Dr. Edward Arnett, adjunct faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, from Clinical Associate Professor to Clinical Professor.

Arnett has practiced pediatrics in Martinsburg for 30 years. He received his medical degree from West Virginia University and completed residency training in pediatrics at Polyclinic Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa. He was one of the first doctors in the area chosen for the WVU Visiting Clinicians program and has been involved in teaching medical students for more than 20 years.

Arnett has been a council member of the West Virginia State Medical Association; has served as president of the Tri-County Medical Society; was chairman of the Department of Medicine; was president of the Medical Staff at City Hospital; and is a past-president of the city Hospital Foundation. In 1993 he received the West Virginia Athletic Director Association Distinguished Service Award.
