My Bank First United Bank & Trust held a ribbon-cutting at its new full-service community office in Hagerstown on April 2.

Kim Mills is Community Officer manager. Members of the team include Andy Hoffman, Commercial Loan officer; Keith Sanders, Trust Sales officer; Scott Hostetler, mortgage executive; and William "Tony" Whiteman, Commercial Insurance executive.

The Wesel Boulevard Community Office lobby hours are Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Drive-up hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lobby and drive-up hours on Saturday are from 9 a.m. to noon.

Giant Food Store, Martin's Food Market

CALISLE, Pa. - Giant Food Store and Martin's Food Market customers have raised a record amount in the fight against multiple sclerosis.

As a result of Giant and Martin's annual in-store paper sneaker campaign, a total of $488,491 was raised at the checkout to support Multiple Sclerosis Society chapters.

The amount beat last year's fundraising effort by $51,236 or a 12 percent increase.

From March 11 to March 28, Giant and Martin's customers could purchase paper sneakers for $1 at the checkout.

Money raised will be donated to six Multiple Sclerosis Society chapters throughout Giant and Martin's operating areas to go toward funding education, advocacy, research and local programs that enhance the quality of life for those with multiple sclerosis.

Immersion Active

FREDERICK, Md. - Web sites and interactive marketing projects catering to the user preferences of older adults dominated the 2007 ADDY Awards on Feb. 26.

Immersion Active, an Internet marketing firm that focuses on the mature markets, won the Best of Show honor for the Virginia Opera Association Web site's 2006 season introductory animation.

The Frederick firm also won one of four Judge's Awards for the Triple Creek Ranch's Web site.

Immersion Active also was awarded three Gold ADDY awards and four Silver ADDY awards for its work for the Virginia Opera Association, Triple Creek Ranch, and JG Black Book of Travel.




BNI

The Wednesday Lunch chapter of Business Network International Inc., (BNI) will host a Visitors Day on Wednesday, April 18, at noon, at Ryan's Buffet, 17830 Garland Groh Blvd., Hagerstown.

Visitors are encouraged to bring at least 50 business cards to pass out.

The chapter also will present its annual Happy Dollars donation to March of Dimes.
