Residents and staff members of The Shook Home bid Rev. Paul B. Baker a farewell as he retires from his position on March 31 as the retirement community's chaplain. Rev. Baker has served as chaplain since Jan. 1, 2002. He also served as a Shook Home Board of Directors member prior to his position as chaplain. The staff collected money to purchase an honorary gift brick to be placed on the front porch of the facility at 55 S. Second St., Chambersburg, Pa. Refreshments were served as stories and words of appreciation were expressed to Rev. Baker. Cards, gift certificates and hugs were exchanged as both staff and residents said goodbye to their chaplain and friend. Above, resident Laura Stumbaugh gives Rev. Baker a certificate of appreciation from the residents of The Shook Home and The Quarters.
