Vehicle hits truck on I-81, two injured

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Two people were taken to Washington County Hospital this morning after a 1999 Ford Expedition struck a parked tractor-trailer near the Pennsylvania Welcome Center on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Nicol Francillon, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, was driving the Ford south on Interstate 81 in the right lane when the vehicle crossed the median and the northbound lanes and struck a parked tractor-trailer, troopers said in a news release.

The accident occurred at 4:45 a.m.

Francillon and her passenger, Jeanty Jean-Pierre, 37, of Hagerstown, were taken to the hospital, troopers said.

Francillon was still being evaluated this morning and Pierre was not listed as a patient at Washington County Hospital, a spokeswoman said.

No more information about the collision was available this morning, police said.
