Pediatric health fair planned in Pa.

MONT ALTO, Pa. - Penn State Mont Alto nursing students will host a free pediatric health fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Multipurpose Activities Center on the campus of Penn State Mont Alto.

The more than 20 stations will focus on children's health and safety, allergy prevention, nutrition, car seat safety, eye exam, fire safety, poison prevention, preventing physical injuries, dental health, gun safety and more.

Penn State's Life Lion helicopter will land on campus at 1 p.m. for children to tour. In addition, The Hershey Medical Center will bring its intensive care Baby Buggy Unit, used to transport sick or injured children to specialty medical treatment.

Entertainment for children will include Crackers the Clown, the Nittany Lion, a teddy bear clinic (children can bring their teddy bear for a check-up). There also will be be prizes and give-aways.
