Police investigate armed robbery in Hagerstown

The Hagerstown Police Department was investigating an armed robbery Wednesday night, according to a police department press release.

The victims said they met three men on Sumans Avenue and the men started to get into the victims' vehicle when one of the men began to assault the driver, showed a knife and demanded the victims' belongings, according to the release.

The man with the knife was described as black, named Timothy and wearing a navy blue sweat shirt, according to the release.

One of the victims fled on foot and was chased by the suspect, according to the release.

The suspects left the scene before officers arrived and could not be found, according to the release.

The victims were not seriously injured and refused medical treatment, according to the release.
