ROCKVILLE, Md. - Ashley Arentz went 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead Hagerstown Community College to a win in the first game.

Sam Koehl (8-2) pitched a complete game, allowing only one run on two hits, in the nightcap. She also went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Arentz was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Hawks (15-3).

MEN'S GOLF



Hedges leads Shepherd

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Trevor Hedges shot a 1-over-par 73 to gain medalist honors and lead Shepherd University to a third-place finish at the Fairmont State Invitational at the Stonewall Resort in Bridgeport.

Charleston took team honors with a 305, Ohio Vallley placed second with a 307 and the Rams were third with a 307.

Bryan Snow fired a 78 to tie for eighth for the Rams. Zach Boyd tied for 13th with an 80 and Chris Butler tied for 38th with an 88.




COLLEGE FOOTBALL



Dorsey, Trochimowicz sign with Rams

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - St. James' Eddie Dorsey and Musselman's Ryan Trochimowicz have signed letters of intent to play football for Shepherd this fall.

Dorsey, a defensive back, gained All-Area, All-County and All-MAC honors for the Saints last season.

Trochimowicz, a wide receiver, had 46 receptions for 791 yards and three touchdowns for the Applemen last season and was an All-State second-team selection.
