Suns get the hits but not the runs

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Hagerstown rapped out 11 hits but left nine runners on base and fell to Lexington 5-2 on Wednesday in the South Atlantic League.

The Legends broke through for four runs on three hits in the second inning off Suns starter Matthew Perks.

Hagerstown (2-5) scored in the third with two outs. Jarrett Reininger singled to center and scored on a triple by Michael Daniel.

The Suns tacked on another run in the eighth when Stephen King belted his second home run of the year.

Later in the eighth, the Suns got runners to second and third with one out, but stranded them.

Joe Napoli had three of Hagerstown's hits.
