Panhandle Free clinic sponsoring week of activities

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - The Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic is encouraging community members to participate in Cover The Uninsured Week (April 23-29) by participating in one of the following events.

· April 23 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. - Open House at The Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic with Media Coverage and the Mayor proclaiming this week officially "Cover The Uninsured Week".

· April 24, 3 to 6 p.m. - Health Fair at the Starting Points Family Resource Center Soup Kitchen in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Screening will include Blood Pressures and Blood Sugars.

· April 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Health Fair at the WorkForce WV Career Center at its new location (old GM building) in Martinsburg. Screening will include Blood Pressures and Blood Sugars. Many other non-profit service organizations are being invited to participate.

· April 26, 9 a.m. to noon - Health fair at the Horseman's Benevolent and Protective Agency in Jefferson County; 6 to 8 p.m. - Health fair at the Family Resource Center in Berkeley Springs. Screenings will include blood pressure and blood sugar.

· April 27, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Health fair at the Save-A-Lot in Charles Town. Screenings will include blood pressure and blood sugar.

· April 28, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Health fair at the Martinsburg Wal-Mart. Screenings will include blood pressure and blood sugar.

· May 5, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Car show and health fair at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Screening will include blood pressures and blood sugars.
