Caylie Rae Shade hurried into the world Friday afternoon, delivered by an ambulance crew on her grandmother's bed in a house on Dual Highway.
Jennifer Shade called 911 when her daughter-in-law, Ciara Shade, 20, realized her first baby was on the way several weeks before its May 7 due date.
"I saw the baby's head coming and hollered for my son," Jennifer Shade said.
Jennifer Shade stayed on the phone with 911 dispatchers, who told her what to do until a Community Rescue Service ambulance arrived.
