Convention and Visitors Bureau hosting free tour

April 06, 2007

The Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is hosting a training session for front-line tourism staffers.

The purpose of "Washington County On The Road" is to familiarize local management and employees with the parks and attractions in Hagerstown and Washington County.

The free tour is an annual event sponsored by the CVB, and is open to CVB members.

"Washington County On The Road" will be held April 10. CVB President and CEO Tom Riford will be the tour guide. After viewing an introductory short film, tour stops include popular destinations like Antietam National Battlefield, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Fort Frederick, the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum and the Jonathan Hager House and Museum.

Lunch will be at Weaver's Restaurant in Hancock, and the motorcoach will be provided by Atlantic Coast Charters.
