Western Maryland Blues Fest

From 4 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 1; and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2

Central Parking Lot on North Potomac Street on Friday and City Central Lot on Saturday; both in downtown Hagerstown.

Friday tickets are $17.50 in advance and $20 at the gate. Saturday tickets are $27.50 in advance and $30 at the gate; $9.50 in advance for ages 6 to 12 and $7 at the gate; and free for ages 5 and younger. Combination tickets for both days are $37.50. These prices include service charges.

Friday's lineup for the 12th annual Western Maryland Blues Fest consists of four acts, including Walter Trout & the Radicals. Saturday's lineup consists of eight acts on two stages and includes the James Cotton Band and Joe Bonamassa.

'Something Brilliant Will Come To Us'

Opens at 8 p.m. Friday, May 18, with various times and dates through Saturday, June 23

Maryland Ensemble Theatre, 31 W. Patrick St., Frederick, Md.

Tickets cost $17 to $20 with Thursday shows costing $15 and including a post-show discussion.

This original Maryland Ensemble Theatre production explores the "effects of comedy and spirituality in today's polarized society with thought and laughter," according to the theater's Web site.
