City's Arbor Day Celebration goes international

Students from Wesel, Germany, joined their Hagerstown counterparts Wednesday morning to plant eight trees during the city's Arbor Day Celebration at Fairgrounds Park.

Junior Mason, parks and recreation director, said four of the trees were honey locusts and four were lindens. The German students are in Hagerstown as part of the Sister City exchange program.
