WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Organizers of the MainStreet Waynesboro Inc. Chocolate Extravaganza said they have agreed to make the event an annual tradition for the town.

Main Street Manager Carole Malin said the extravaganza Saturday night exceeded expectations.

"It was nicer and more successful than I even imagined," she said. "We made a commitment last evening to make it annual."

Hosted at the Susquehanna Bank on the square, Malin said 225 people attended the event that raised about $3,375 for MainStreet Waynesboro Inc.

Guest of the extravaganza dined on chocolate truffles, mousse, puffs and a variety of items dipped in chocolate, including strawberries and cannoli.
