MVB Bank



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Timothy R. Procita, of Martinsburg, has been named president and chief executive officer of MVB Bank - East Inc.

Procita, whose appointment was effective March 5, will head all operations for the bank in eastern West Virginia. He also initially will oversee the construction and opening of the bank's new eastern West Virginia headquarters at the MVB Office Complex on Foxcroft Avenue.

Since 2001, he served as a business services officer and corporate lender. He was awarded the prestigious Sterling Performer award four times.

He has a bachelor's degree in finance and banking from Appalachian State University and attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking in Washington, D.C. He also is a graduate of the BB&T Management Development Program and studied international business at Fudan University in China.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Judy Criddle Pellicano has joined Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA's Greencastle office as a member of the real estate team.

She is licensed to list and sell all types of real estate in Pennsylvania, and soon will participate in Jack Gaughen's five-week training program.

Pellicano, who lives in the Greencastle area, has degrees from Penn State University in physics and engineering. She previously worked for a transportation company in management.

Mr. Handyman



Rob Carpenter, owner of the local Mr. Handyman, was recently recognized at the national Mr. Handyman Convention in Orlando, Fla., as a multiple award winner.

He was awarded the 2006 President's Award, the Team Building Award, the Million Dollar Sales Club Award and the Top 10 National Sales Award.

The franchise, which provides home and commercial maintenance and repair, serves Frederick, Carroll, Howard, and Washington counties.

Eddie Jefferson was the Top Real Estate Agent in Settled Volume and Settled Units for the month of February for The Glocker Group Realty Results.

Tastefully Simple



Tastefully Simple consultant Dana Ray received the gourmet food company's Top 10 Sales Achiever, Regional Meeting award at this year's regional meeting in Washington, D.C.

To win the award, Ray's direct-selling business outperformed those of other consultants who attended the meeting.

Market America



SMITHSBURG, Pa. - Brent Little, of Smithsburg, has advanced to coordinator as an independent distributor for Market America, a product brokerage and Internet marketing company.

Little became eligible for the coordinator level after developing two sales and distribution organizations in addition to selling an established amount of product, which produced a first commission check.

Previously qualified as a distributor, Little has been an independent distributor for Market America since September 2006.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Waynesboro office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA recognized sales professionals Jean Rosenberger and Darrell Morgan for their performances in February.

The decision was based on the number of new listings, sales and referrals, attendance at real estate meetings and workshops and customer satisfaction reports.

Syd Machat, Real Estate Teams of Hagerstown, has been elected as an accredited land consultant (ALC) member of the Realtors Land Institute (RLI), with headquarters in Chicago.

There are about 425 accredited land consultants (ALCs) who have met the institute's rigorous set of requirements.

Prior to joining Real Estate Teams, Machat was in charge of the commercial property division for a regional firm. From 1969 to 1991 he owned and operated Machat Realty Inc., Town & Country Property, a boutique real estate brokerage firm in Boonsboro.

He also has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) professional designation and holds an MBA in real estate and business management from American University in Washington, D.C.
