Wilson club to hold dog wash Sunday

March 31, 2007

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Wilson College Veterinary Medical Technician (VMT) Club will host a dog wash Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the college's veterinary building near the Park Avenue campus entrance off U.S. 11.

The cost is $5 for small dogs, $10 for medium dogs and $15 for large dogs. The fee includes a bath, nail trim, ear cleaning and drying, all of which will be performed by VMT Club members, most of whom are enrolled in Wilson's veterinary studies program.

Proceeds from the dog wash will help pay for the VMT Club's trip to a Kentucky horse farm planned for the spring 2007 semester, according to club president Leah Schultz.

The VMT Club holds two dog wash events per year, in the spring and fall. The October 2006 dog wash drew a record number of dog owners, and at least 70 dogs were bathed by the end of the day.
