Feature home offers upgraded luxury

Phillip and Sheryl Aiken have prepared their home at 19226 Jamestown Drive in the Foxleigh Meadows community off the Marsh Pike for a new owner to move in and immediately live in spacious elegance.

After study and consultation, Phillip and Sheryl spent the last year renovating and upgrading their two-story center hall Colonial home for sale and any visitor can see they have been successful. The attractive landscaping by Lovell's Nursery around this 3,000-square-foot brick-and vinyl-siding house is immediately apparent.

A visitor will quickly notice closets on both sides of the front door and hardwood floors throughout the downstairs. To the left, in the "community room," is a natural wood pool table. A quilt hangs from the wall and warms the room.

Behind the community room, French doors lead into a library/den with built-in bookcases and double windows that look out on the backyard. There's plenty of room for a double computer desk on the right. Light green plaid wallpaper warms and lightens the room.

From there, a door to the right leads to the living room with a wood-burning fireplace. Windows on each side provide plenty of light.

A half-bath with a new granite tile floor and new fixtures can be found between the living room and the kitchen. A closet with bifold doors is located in the hall.

In the kitchen, there's a new ceramic tile floor along with refinished oak cabinets, an island, granite countertops and new stainless-steel appliances. A pantry with two bifold doors is available for additional storage.

Off the kitchen is a convenient laundry room with a storage cabinet and closet and a door that leads to the two-car garage.

Another doorway from the kitchen leads to the formal dining room with two large windows in the front of the house. The warmth of this room is enhanced by the choice of Federal Red paint on the walls and white picture frame moulding below the white chair rails.

Newly carpeted stairs with a landing lead to the bedrooms. There's new wall-to-wall carpeting throughout the upstairs.

The front center bedroom with the choice of Ice Lavender paint for the walls projects a light and airy atmosphere. A double closet with bifold doors is available for clothing.

Both the large left front and left rear bedrooms also have large closets with bifold doors.

A renovated bathroom with an enclosed tub shower, new ceramic tile floors, a marble top double vanity and new countertops is available for the three bedrooms. The tilting oval vanity mirrors are particularly striking.

The master suite with vaulted ceiling and king-sized four-poster bed will be appealing to the new owner. The master bath contains two walk-in closets, a whirlpool tub, a new tub-and-shower set, double marble top vanity sinks and two skylights. The skylights and two wall windows create a bright, cheerful and spa-like effect.

A 2,500-square-foot double-level deck runs the length of the back of the home, with wraparound entrances on each side of the house.

A full basement is accessible through indoor stairs and an outside walk-in entrance.

Natural gas fuels a new furnace that provides forced air for heating. Central air conditioning will provide comfort all year long.
