Local artists urged to create palettes

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Downtown Martinsburg will be colorful when giant artists' palettes decorate the streets. Main Street Martinsburg invites local artists to create original works of art on giant pieces of wood shaped like artists' palettes.

These 4-foot by 5-foot palettes will be unveiled and showcased at the Wine and Arts Festival at Boydville, a historic estate, on Saturday, May 26, and Sunday, May 27. After the festival, the palettes will be on display through September throughout downtown Martinsburg.
