Frederick Police looking for bank robber

FREDERICK, Md. - A bank robber wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and a black nylon stocking over his face left the scene in a blue sedan, the Frederick Police Department said.

The male, who is between 6 feet tall and 6 feet 3 inches tall, demanded cash from a bank teller at Farmers & Mechanics Bank on East Patrick Street and Monocacy Boulevard, police said. The original call was received at 1:53 p.m. Monday.

After the male left the bank with an undetermined amount of money, witnesses said, he

crossed Patrick Street and left the area in a blue older model four-door sedan. Police said the driver of the sedan was waiting for the suspect near the Monocacy Boulevard entrance of the shopping center, and the vehicle drove off south on Monocacy Boulevard.

The male was dressed in a blue jacket and matching blue trousers, black shoes and brown gloves. Underneath the jacket, the suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and had covered his face with a black nylon stocking.
