Hagerstown police respond to calls



The Hagerstown Police Department recently responded to the following incidents:

Thursday:

· At 4:42 a.m., a breaking-and-entering was reported in the 200 block of S. Potomac St.

Wednesday:

·At 9:47 p.m., a second-degree assault was reported in the 600 block of North Prospect Street.

·At 6:21 a.m., a theft of a purse in a vehicle was reported in the 12800 block of Little Elliott Drive.

· At 12:19 p.m., an incident of identity theft was reported in the 200 block of Division Avenue.

· At 12:43 p.m., a theft of a wallet was reported in the 1700 block of Dual Highway.

·At 8:17 p.m., thefts of a floor scraper and tile spacers were reported in the 1000 block of Lindsay Lane.

· At 9:52 p.m., damage to property was reported at McDonald's at 17850 Garland Groh Boulevard.

· At 10:32 p.m., vandalism was reported at McDonald's at 316 E. Washington St.

Tuesday:

· At 7:22 p.m., a burglary and theft of cash was reported in the 100 block of North Potomac Street.

· At 7:54 p.m., a theft of food items was reported in the first block of Eastern Boulevard.




Sheriff's deputies respond to calls



The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls, according to Lt. Mark Knight:

Monday:

· At 10:30 a.m., a blue-and-white paddle boat valued at $500 was reported stolen in the 900 block of Mount Aetna Road.

· At 3:30 p.m., a windshield was reported broken in the 200 block of North Colonial Drive. Damage was estimated at $300.

· At 5:30 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen at The Shoe Department at 17301 Valley Mall Road.

· At 6 p.m., a breaking-and-entering was reported in the 19000 block of Garretts Mill Road. A red electric child's bike valued at $200 and $100 in change were reported stolen.

Tuesday:

· At 3 a.m., a breaking-and-entering was reported at Liberty Fuels at 21322 Leitersburg Pike. About 115 packs of cigarettes were taken.

· At 10:30 a.m., a gold wedding band was reported stolen at Loyalton Assisted Living at 20009 Rosebank Way.

Wednesday:

· At 3:30 p.m., a light post was reported shot out in the 19000 block of Manor Church Road. Damage was estimated at $40.

· At 7:30 p.m., front tags were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Western Maryland Parkway.
