Piano concert

"Footloose" is the story of a big city boy who settles in a small town, falls for a local girl and deals with a conservative local minister. The musical celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm-heart and open mind. Teenage actors from six local schools appear in the production. National anthem tryouts

Hagerstown Suns will hold open auditions for the singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" for the 2007 season. Participants must either sing the national anthem without instrumental accompaniment or play it with an instrument. Singers are permitted to try out individually or in groups. Ages 18 and younger must have a parent or guardian present to sign the registration form. All winners must provide their own transportation to the game. 8 a.m. registration, auditions begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. Valley Mall Food Court, Hagerstown.
