WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A 40-year-old Waynesboro woman died as the result of injuries she suffered in a three-vehicle accident Friday morning on Pa. 316 South, Washington Township police said Monday in a news release.

Manuela Crider, of 204 Hawbaker Ave., was a passenger in a 2002 Chevrolet that began to fishtail and left the southbound lane before being hit by two northbound vehicles in the 14000 block of Wayne Highway, police said.

Crider was taken to Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said the Chevrolet, driven by Kirby Crider, began to spin when hit by a 2002 Ford driven by Barbara McCreary of Waynesboro. The Criders' vehicle was then hit on the passenger side by a 2007 Chevrolet driven by James A. Provenzale Jr. of Waynesboro, police said.
