How did you get into your business, or what motivated you to start it? "We started a hot sauce and salsa business in May 2006 called Marco's Not Yet Famous Sauces. Our products are now available in grocery and specialty stores across the Metropolitan D.C. area as well as in Florida and Delaware, over the Internet and soon to be sold in Canada.

"Marco's love for cooking and our longtime dream to open a restaurant became a reality when Marco began creating zesty recipes for wings, ribs and signature sandwiches. We wanted to share our passion for great tasting affordable food with others who appreciate good food. ...

"Mr. D's Wings and Ribs offers a variety of sauces each hand-crafted by Marco and will be available for retail in the near future. Some of our customer favorite wing sauces include Spicy Garlic Parmesan, Tequila Lime and Caribbean Jerk, to name just a few.

"We take great pride in sharing with our customers ... our signature sandwiches ... all cooked on our premises and served up fresh. We also offer hand-cut french fries cooked in peanut oil and made to order."

Previous business experience: "This is a our first venture into the restaurant business, and though the business aspect is new to us, the cooking part is a natural for Marco, who grew up in Italy and attended culinary school, and has been cooking up delicious recipes for family and friends over the years."
