First Baptist Church, various speakers will be featured each Sunday during the month of March in celebration of the congregation's 125th anniversary.

This Sunday, David Burt, director of missions for Blue Ridge Baptist Association, will be speaking at the 11 a.m. service. He will speak on Being on Mission.

Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:45 a.m.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church, vespers are tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Father Dennis Buck will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. and Veneration of the Cross Sunday. Church School for children and coffee hour for adults follow liturgy.

Wednesday at 7 p.m. - Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts is followed by a Lenten meal and religious class with discussion.


Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday will feature Pastor Carol Hallman speaking on the topic, Longing for God.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

State Line (Pa.) United Methodist Church, Pastor Dwaine Krebs will speak on the topic, The Old Mistakes, this Sunday at the 10:15 a.m. service.

Sunday school is at 9 a.m.

Wednesday Bible study, youth and adult classes all begin at 6 p.m., preceded by a meal at 5:30 p.m.

A soup and sandwich sale will be held March 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., eat in or take home.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, this Sunday Pastor Robert C. Jones will be speaking on the topic, Being in the Spirit, at the 10 a.m. service.

Evening worship at 6 p.m. will feature the topic, Facts About Prayer. Missionettes and Rangers will meet.

Wednesday Oasis service and NuVision Youth is at 7 p.m. The topic is The Strength of Weakness.

New Hope Church of Christ, 30 W. Salisbury St., Williamsport, Pastor Thomas Huff will be speaking on the Hebrew prophets of the 8th Century B.C. this Sunday.

The service and Sunday school begin at 9 a.m. in the old Williamsport Ambulance Company building beside the post office.

Bible study on Wednesdays is at 7 p.m. at the ambulance hall.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Revs. Al Clipp and Warren Watts will bring a dialogue message at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday on the topic, Lost and Found.

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m.

Lenten services are at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will be speaking this Sunday at 10:35 a.m. on the topic, The Gospel of Power and Joy.

At 7 p.m., the topic is Out of Your Mind. Grace Teens meet at 6 p.m. and Awana for children meets at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages.

Wednesday services are at 1 and 7 p.m.

Zion United Church of Christ, the Rev. Robert Royal will preach at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic will be Disruptive Moments.

Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m.

Lenten services are at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays following a covered dish supper at 6 p.m. Royal will speak on the topic, Dividends from Troubles.

Calvary Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Doug Courter will be speaking at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic is What Happens to Those Who Don't Go to Heaven?

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Bible study is Tuesday at 10 a.m. Youth programs are at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Christ Reformed Church, 304 E. German St., Shepherdstown, W.Va., the Rev. Bronson Staley will speak on the topic, Identifying God's Caring Gardener, at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday.

Through Lent, soup and bread will be provided on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. The 7 p.m. service will look at The Story of United Churches of Christ.

Welty Church of the Brethren, Greensburg, Mike Manthos will be speaking this Sunday at 10:40 a.m. on the topic, The Way and Joy of Salvation.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will lead communion/healing services this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. The parish choir will provide special music at the later service.

Christian education classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. including an adult forum.

A choral evensong will be held at 5 p.m. at the church.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor David Kaplan will be preaching this Sunday at the 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. communion services. The topic is Perspectives on Suffering.

Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m.

Following a 6 p.m. supper, the Wednesday Lenten service - Pilgrims on the Way, Our Lutheran Journey of Faith - is at 7 p.m. with Pastor Bill Lundgren speaking on The Holy Catholic Church - Made a Holy Community.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will speak on the topic, Wilderness Wanderers, at the 9:30 a.m. service this Sunday.

Mooney and E-man will present a children's sermon.

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m.

Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, Sharpsburg, Pastor Delancy Catlett will speak at 9 a.m. this Sunday on the topic, Are You Thirsty?

Children's Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.
