Club gives feed money

March 06, 2007|by MARK JOHNSON / Saddles 'n' Spurs reporter

BOONSBORO - Saddles 'n' Spurs 4-H Club recently visited Days End Horse Rescue to deliver a $350 donation.

This money will be used to buy feed and hay and cover medical expenses on horses that have been abused or neglected.

In December, club members put donation jars in public places so people could donate loose change.

"All that loose change really added up," said Zoe Chappelle, president of the club.

"We were happy to be able to help the horses," said Nathan Johnson, since service is what 4-H is all about.
