Louise S. Washinger, 90

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Louise S. Washinger, 90, of 274 College Ave., died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1917, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Frederick H. and Clema Lenore Faust Small.
She was a 1934 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She was employed as an office manager by Shively's Dairy until retiring in 1974.
She was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harry Washinger; one sister, Margaret B. Reese of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three nieces, Margaret Reyner of Palmyra, Pa., Jean Imbrognio of Harrisburg, Pa., and Dorothy Carson of Hanover, Pa.; and one nephew, James Reese of Dauphin, Pa.
She was preceded in death by one nephew, Frederick B. Reese.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Woodring will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Mark G. Souders, 44

WILLIAMSPORT - Mark Gerard Souders, 44, of 15049 Terra Lane, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Friday, March 16, 1962, in Lancaster, Ohio, he was the son of the late Milton Hayes Souders and Doris Joanne Kelsey Hull.
He was employed by S&S Tire Co. for the last nine years.
He was a member of the Sons of the AMVETS.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie K. Souders; three daughters, Joanna Hardy of Hagerstown, Michelle Seal of Williamsport and Cindy Hann of Greencastle, Pa.; one son, Mark A. Souders of Bradenton, Fla.; three sisters, Debbie Chilcote of Greencastle, Pa., Dawn Beers of San Jose, Calif., and Diane Harris of Hagerstown; two brothers, Mike Souders of Cincinnati and Marty Souders of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Richard Daughtridge will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Thelma L. Brown, 91

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Thelma Louise Rock Brown, 91, of 538 Anthony Highway, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville.
Born July 25, 1915, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Anna Harmon Rock.
She attended Waynesboro schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Brown, on Sept. 16, 1991. They were married in 1935.
She was employed as a seamstress by the former Fulton Knit Co. in Chambersburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Delores M. Rock of South Mountain, Pa.; two sons, Robert L. Brown and Gary L. Brown, both of Fayetteville; one granddaughter Vicky L. (Stevens) Wagner, whom she raised; one sister, Katherine Shade of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Richard Rock, Bernard Rock, Edward Rock, Shorty Rock, Peep Rock, Paul Rock and Raymond Rock; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m., at Mount Zion Cemetery, Quincy, Pa. The Rev. Linn Smalec will officiate.
Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Elva M. Smith, 82, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at City Hospital.
Born July 13, 1924, in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Hensel Brannon and Mable Barrett Brannon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. William Smith.
