Born in Clifton Forge, Va., she was the daughter of Alfred L. and Mary Alice Hayslett Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fremont Anderson, whom she married on New Year's Eve, 1941.

She worked as an inspector at Fairchild Aircraft.

She was a member of Downsville Homemakers. She led Girl Scout Troop 28 in Funkstown in the 1950s. She was a volunteer in the Washington County Family Services Parent Aide Program in the 1980s.

She is survived by three children, Sherryrobin Boland of Springfield, W.Va., Fremont Franklin Anderson Jr. of Thomaston, Maine, and Mark Lynn Anderson of Pittsburgh.

Services will be private.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Citizens Assisting and Sheltering the Abused (CASA), 116 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

James R. Chrisman, 73

LEETOWN, W.Va. - James Robert "Bobby" Chrisman, 73, of Leetown, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Annie L. Dodson Chrisman.

He worked as a produce manager at Acme Market in Charles Town, W.Va., for 40 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Summit Point United Methodist Church, where he was a past president of the Methodist Men, a member of the church choir and a Sunday school teacher.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Furr Chrisman; one son, Roger Chrisman of Inwood, W.Va.; two sisters, Helen Mason of Inwood and Martha Bradley of Leetown; four brothers, Raymond Chrisman, Pete Chrisman, Dick Chrisman and Garland Chrisman; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Ranalli, Louise Titus, Christine Miller, Betty Jean Chrisman and Doris Chrisman; and three brothers, Walter Chrisman, Ed Chrisman and William Chrisman.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Summit Point (W.Va.) United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home.

Anna B. Hann, 75

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Anna Bernice Hann, 75, of Fulton County Long Term Care Unit and formerly of 833 Ravensburg Road, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Fulton County Medical Center.

Born Dec. 10, 1931, in Needmore, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Waltz Adelsberger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Hann, whom she married Sept. 8, 1956. He died April 13, 1998.

She worked as a press operator at Sagner Inc. in McConnellsburg until retiring.

She was a member of Corner Church of the Brethren in Big Cove Tannery, Pa.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy K. Esque of McConnellsburg; three sisters, Wilma Smith of Warfordsburg, Pa., Joan Piluk of Needmore and Jean Moore of Harrisonville, Pa.; and one brother, Ray Adelsberger of Needmore.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home in McConnellsburg. Pastors Chalmer Hann, David Hann and Roy Fahnestock will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Betty M. Murphy, 87



MAY 1, 1919-MARCH 3, 2007

Betty Margaret Murphy, 87, of Loyalton Assisted Living in Hagerstown, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Washington County Hospital.

Born May 1, 1919, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Roy G. and Marjorie McKinney Pearce.

She was a graduate of Williams Smith College in Geneva, N.Y.

She is survived by one son, Ken Murphy of Hagerstown; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Keithley.

Services and burial will be in Cleveland at the convenience of the family.

There will be no viewing.

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Reva V. Ward, 84, of Ward Drive, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Nov. 11, 1922, in Sylvan, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ulice E. and Ethel V. Moats Keefer.

She worked at the former Mercersburg Sewing Factory.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Little Cove, Pa., where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
