Bowers Insurance plans three sessions

Bowers Insurance will hold a series of three seminars designed for those thinking about retirement and those who have recently retired.

The seminars will be held on March 21, April 11 and May 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton, 1910 Dual Highway in Hagerstown.

The March 21 seminar, "Building a Future," will present information on using the right tools for preserving principal and converting retirement assets into consistent streams of income.

The seminars will feature a presentation by Jeff Bowers, a Certified Financial Planner professional and member of the Financial Planning Association. Coffee and desserts will be served.


The seminars are free, but advance registration is required.

Edward Jones offices host broadcast

The six local Edward Jones financial advisers will host a free satellite broadcast entitled "How to Protect Yourself from Scam Artists," on Tuesday, March 13, at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Author and investigative reporter Chuck Whitlock will provide tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of identify theft and financial scams.

The interactive event is presented at select Edward Jones offices nationwide via the firms private video network.
