March 03, 2007

The City of Hagerstown will begin a new street-sweeping schedule on Monday for certain parts of the city, according to the office of public works.

The area extends from Randolph Avenue/Bethel Street on the north, to Baltimore Street on the south, to Burhans Boulevard on the west, and to Cannon Avenue on the east, said Eric Deike, public works director.

Deike said the signs should be installed within the next week. Motorists should look for the red and white signs that show the changed times, he said.

Deike said metered spaces will be posted for no parking on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 6 to 8 a.m., depending on the location. Residential spaces will be posted for no parking on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m., depending on the location, he said.
