State Police trooper tests set

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. ? The West Virginia State Police has scheduled testing for trooper recruits at four locations, beginning May 15 at the State Police Academy in Institute, W.Va., Martinsburg Detachment Commander Sgt. T.C. Kearns announced this week.

All testing times, including one scheduled for May 17 at the Quality Inn in Morgantown, W.Va., are "walk-on" dates, Kearns said in a news release.

Applicants should report to the testing site with a completed application, valid photo identification and running shoes. Applicants should wear appropriate exercise attire, the release said. Applicants will be required to pass a physical ability examination before taking a written test. Applicants may choose to submit their application directly to the Personnel Section of the West Virginia State Police prior to testing, Kearns said.

In addition to May 15, testing dates also have been scheduled for May 16 and May 19 at the academy and May 17 at the Quality Inn in Morgantown, W.Va.
