Shank named all-WVIAC

PRINCETON, W.Va. - Shepherd University's Danley Shank was selected to the all-WVIAC first team while teammate Barry Cornish was chosen as an honorable mention.

Alderson-Broaddus coach Greg Zimmerman has been named the West Virginia Conference's coach of the year for the second consecutive year. Alderson-Broaddus finished the regular season 22-4 overall and 18-0 in the league.

West Virginia State guard Ted Scott was named player of the year and Alderson-Broaddus point guard Terrell Eargle received the freshman of the year award.

The 6-foot-5 forward Shank, a Chambersburg (Pa.) graduate, averaged 18.9 points and 6.3 rebounds in his senior year for the Rams, who are seeded seventh for this week's league tournament.

Mercersburg Academy graduate Chris LeBorious, who plays for Ohio Valley, was selected to the second team.
