St. John's Episcopal Church, The Rev. Scott Bellows will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. services. The parish choir will provide music at the later service.

Christian education classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. including an adult forum on What Did St. Paul Mean?

Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., the Rev. Rudolph Bropleh will be speaking at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on Celebrating Cultural Diversity, sponsored by the Shepherdstown Ministerial Association.

Youth fun night will be held at Shepherdstown Youth Center on Wednesday this week at 7 p.m. Bible study at Asbury also begins at 7 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Pastor Torben Aarsand will be celebrant/preacher this Sunday at the 8 and 11 a.m. services this Sunday. Jane Drawbaugh and Bill Price will be lay assisting ministers.


Pastor Miki Bond will lead the 9 a.m. contemporary liturgy in Fellowship Hall which is signed for the deaf. Robert Bella Wilhelm, director of the School of Sacred Storytelling, will be guest speaker.

First Baptist Church, Chuck Schroer will speak at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic is Do You Love Me?

On Sunday, Father Dennis Buck will celebrate at 10 a.m. the Divine Liturgy of Forgiveness.

Church school for children and coffee hour for adults follow Liturgy. Following church school will be the forgiveness service in preparation for Great Lent which begins Monday, requiring abstinence of all meat and dairy products.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the compline and canon of St. Andrew.

Potomac Charge, United Methodist churches of Big Pool, this Sunday, Pastor Scott Summers will speak on the topic, Well, You Can't Just Sit There!
