Instructional Support Day set for today



Berkeley County Schools' Instructional Support Day originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 19, was moved to today, Berkeley County Schools director of communications Jaimee Borger announced Thursday. Teachers and staff are expected to report to work at 10 a.m. today for required staff development and faculty senate meetings, but students will not attend school.

Due to the number of days missed because of inclement weather, Monday, Feb. 19, was converted to a full day of instruction for students and employees, Borger said.




County science fair still to be held today



Despite inclement weather, the Berkeley County Science Fair will be today at Martinsburg High School, Berkeley County Schools director of communications Jaimee Borger announced Thursday.

Student registration and exhibit setup is to begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m., Students in fourth and fifth grades must bring card tables for their displays, Borger said.
