Practice stage wanted



Due to the fire last fall at Hagerstown Women's Club, Potomac Playmakers is seeking a facility to hold rehearsals for its upcoming productions. Although upcoming productions will be held at Hagerstown Community College, the Playmakers do not have space to hold rehearsals. Potomac Playmakers seeks a church, school, business owner or individual willing to donate rehearsal space three evenings a week between March 11 and May 25. Call Jeff at 717-977-0677.




Renaissance faire seeks players



MANHEIM, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is seeking performers and stage crewmembers for its 27th annual season. Auditions are set for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 18, in the Mansion at Mount Hope Estate & Winery in northern Lancaster County, Pa.

Cast members portray 16th-century Elizabethan characters performing Shakespeare and interactive improvised scenarios and stunt and stage combat sequences along the village streets. Renaissance-styled or period stage acts or musical groups should submit any promotional materials, DVDs, videos or CDs of their work and be prepared to perform 3 to 5 minutes.

WASHS guard members wanted



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Former Waynesboro Area Senior High School indoor guard members and staff are invited to attend the Waynesboro Indoor Guard 25th anniversary Home Show. The show will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, in Waynesboro Area Senior High School gymnasium on East Second Street. A reception for former guard members and staff will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

An indoor guard journal is being compiled for display at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. Send a paragraph or two describing your favorite guard memories. Include your name and the years you participated.
