ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Dignitaries, militiamen, musicians and citizens will come together at the state's first capital March 25 for festivities marking the 373rd anniversary of Maryland's founding.
Historic St. Mary's City invites visitors to celebrate Maryland's founding March 25 by enjoying free admission to museum exhibits.
Pomp, pageantry and music will embellish the official program, which begins at 1:30 p.m. in Town Center. Beginning at 10 a.m., kite flyers are invited to employ March winds and the open grounds surrounding Town Center to launch their favorite sail. This colorful pastime has delighted flyers and spectators for centuries.
There is no admission fee for Maryland Day activities.
