Mount St. Mary's

EMMITSBURG, Md. - Al Edwards, retired senior vice president of Mary Kay Cosmetics Inc., will present a lecture on involvement in international business at Mount St. Mary's University's Frederick, Md., campus.

The discussion will be presented Monday, Feb. 12, at 5:30 p.m. It is part of Mount Connections, a lecture series held at the Mount's Frederick campus at 5350 Spectrum Drive.

Edwards received his B.S. in business administration with a major in accounting in 1958 from Mount St. Mary's. He will discuss doing business primarily in Southeast Asia, focusing on the startup of Mary Kay's business in China.

The six local Edward Jones investment representatives will host a free satellite broadcast entitled "How Far Away is Your Retirement?" on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The program features Mike Rose, retirement planning expert and author of "The Retirement Decision."

The interactive event is presented at select Edward Jones branch offices nationwide via the firm's private video network.
