Facts about ACT

· About 1 in 5,500 students scored perfectly on the ACT in 2006.

· The national average ACT composite score for 2006 was 21.1, which is an increase from 20.9 in 2005.

· More than 1.2 million students take the ACT and the test is required by more four-year colleges than any other.

· The ACT asks 75 English questions, 60 math questions, 40 reading questions and 40 science questions.

· The ACT was first administered in 1959 and is used in all 50 states.
