Clear Spring church installs Toms as pastor

CLEAR SPRING - John A. Toms was installed as pastor of St. Paul's Reformed Church of Clear Spring during the morning worship service Jan. 21.

Toms was installed by the Rev. Gary Bowman, national minister of the Evangelical Association of Reformed and Congregational Christian Churches.

St. Paul's Reformed Church, three miles east of Clear Spring on the National Pike (U.S. 40), is a Bible-believing community founded in the reformed tradition and traces its roots back to 1747.

Toms is a graduate of Shippensburg University, Lancaster Theological Seminary and Master's International School of Divinity.

Prior to attending seminary, Toms worked as a counselor, psychology associate and computer programmer. He is a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Toms resides in State Line, Pa., with his wife, Becky, and daughter ,Chylle. He came to St. Paul's from Heidelberg Church in Marion, Pa.
