SHARPSBURG - Kindergarten teachers at Sharpsburg Elementary School have chosen Peyton Blood as the school's Community Partnership for Families Character Counts! nominee for December.
Tina Stotelmyer, Peyton's teacher, nominated her for modeling the Character Counts! pillar of Citizenship.
According to Stotelmyer, "Peyton is a good listener, works hard and always does her best." Stottlemyer also noted that Peyton is becoming an excellent reader and enjoys math and science.
"Peyton is a good friend and role model for all students," she said.
The first-grade teachers at Sharpsburg Elementary chose Gunnar Griffith as the Community Partnership for Families Character Counts! nominee for January. Gunnar's teacher, Chad Gross, nominated Gunnar for modeling the Character Counts! pillars of Respect and Responsibility.
According to Gross, "Gunnar has excellent manners, and does his best to please, and follow directions. He is kind, caring, humble, forgiving and adaptable."
