Four accidents involve plow trucks

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police responded to several accidents Sunday involving plow trucks.

· At 4:22 p.m. a Mack plow truck was in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Pa. 416 and Pa. 16 in Montgomery Township, police said. Police said the truck was northbound on Pa. 416 when it failed to come to a complete stop and entered the intersection.

The truck's plow collided with a vehicle driven by Christy Jo Moore, 26, of Waynesboro, Pa. Moore and the two children in the vehicle were unhurt, police said. The report did not indicate whether the truck was privately owned or a municipal vehicle.

· A Guilford Township plow truck was involved in a 4:27 p.m. accident at the intersection of Falling Spring Road and Shady Side Drive, police said. The truck slid on the ice and collided with a vehicle driven by Michael R. Stoner, 52, of Chambersburg.

Another vehicle, driven by Duite E. Ricker, 52, of Chambersburg, then collided with the truck's plow, police said.

· At 4:43 p.m., a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation vehicle was traveling on Falling Spring Road when it went out of control in the 1800 block and collided with a vehicle driven by Randall Lee Shadle, 48, of Chambersburg, police said.

· At 5:40 p.m., a 2001 Sterling plow truck and a 2003 Ford F-250 driven by James T. King of Marion, Pa., collided at a railroad underpass on Kauffman Road in Antrim Township, police said.

Police said the plow truck entered the one-lane underpass going east and King attempted to yield, but the vehicles collided. The report did not indicate whether the plow truck was a private or government-owned truck.
