Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., Vernon Hunter, lay leader, will be speaking at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday.

Youth fun night will be held at Shepherdstown Youth Center on Wednesday this week at 7 p.m. Bible study at Asbury also begins at 7 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will be celebrant/preacher this Sunday at the 10 a.m. single service this Sunday. Sue Stull will be lay assisting minister. Music will feature the adult parish choir, Trinity Ringers and the contemporary ensemble of singers and instrumentalists.

A potluck dinner honoring Fleming's retirement will follow.

There will be no Sunday school this week.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. John Schildt will speak on the topic, Dr. Jesus, The Great Physician, at the 9:30 a.m. service this Sunday.


Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m. Methodist Youth Fellowship is Sunday at 6 p.m.

First Baptist Church, the Rev. Thom Smith will speak at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, God's Trustworthy Character.

Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church, vespers are tonight at 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Father Dennis Buck will celebrate the Divine Liturgy of the 32nd Sunday after Pentecost, the Sunday of Zaccheus.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday will feature Pastor Carol Hallman speaking on the topic, Unity in the Midst of Diversity.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, this Sunday Pastor Robert C. Jones will be speaking on the topic, Confessions of a Failure - The Busy Man, at the 10 a.m. service.

Evening worship at 6 p.m. will feature the topic, We have Fellowship. Missionettes and Rangers will meet.

Wednesday Oasis service and NuVision Youth is at 7 p.m. on the topic, Danger Lines in the Deeper Life.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Al Clipp will bring the message at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday on the topic, Three Forms of God's Word.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., guest speaker Doug Oliver will be featured this Sunday at 10:35 a.m. and at 7 p.m.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages.

Zion United Church of Christ, Guest speaker the Rev. Robert Rock will preach at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic will be You're It.

Children's Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.

Boonsboro Bible Church, 6741 Old National Pike, Pastor Rob Welty's topic this Sunday is A Man on a Mission.

Services include 8 a.m. traditional, and 9:30 a.m. Sunday school and 10:35 a.m. contemporary praise worship.

The Praise Team and Band will bring music at 10:35 a.m. along with Jeff Cullison.

At 6 p.m., the topic is The Supremacy of Christ.

St. John's Episcopal Church, The Rev. Scott Bellows will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services. The parish choir will provide music at the later service.

Christian education classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. including an adult forum discussing the Diocese of Maryland Survey of Churches.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Rev. David B. Kaplan will be preaching this Sunday at the 8:15 a.m. chapel communion service and the 10:30 a.m. communion service. The topic is Mission Statement.
