Hagerstown Police Department's Street Crimes Unit used narcotics informants to make 26 buys from alleged drug dealers in September, leading to the indictments of 13 people on felony drug charges, according to a news release from Sgt. Jim Robison, unit supervisor.
Three of the 13 indictments handed up by a Washington County grand jury have not been served, the release states.
According to the release, the following people have been served with their charges:
· Antonio Cortez Darden, 29, of 277 S. Potomac St., Apt. 2, is charged with three counts each of distribution of crack cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and three counts of possession of crack cocaine.
· Herschel Xavier Burns, 45, of 523 N. Locust St., is charged with three counts each of crack cocaine distrubution, possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine.
· Joshua Eugene Zieglar, 21, of 19605 Old Forge Road in Hagerstown, is charged with conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, distribution of crack cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine.
