"I'd like to know why these people want go out of the USA to adopt children. There's enough here in our own country to take care of. I say take care of our own before we do others. They show all these pictures of all these children in Africa - well, I'm sure if they showed some pictures of the little kids here in the U.S., they'd get an eyeful, too. So stay in your own country."
"This is regarding the citizens who oppose the hospital's move to Robinwood. Maybe if the hospital officials would try to work with the citizens and their concerns such as increased traffic on Yale Drive in front of the elementary school . . . position the hospital at the front adjacent to the blue section off Robinwood Drive. This way the traffic would not be directly across from the elementary school. And place the helicopter pad away from the school. I'm sure if they wanted to they could accommodate the concerns of the citizens in that area."

"I'm amazed at Baltimore fans for being so angry at the Colts for leaving in 1984, when they turn around in 1996 and do the same thing by accepting the Browns, who did the same basic thing to the Cleveland fans."

"Wholesale gasoline closed at $1.36 today, people. It's $51.21 for a barrel of oil. Get on the phones, call who you need to call. We should be paying $1.69 or even less for a gallon of fuel right now."

"I just read of the growing crime problem in the county, and need for new police enforcement. I can see how delighted that must make the criminals feel - the burglaries, thefts in particular. I bet the city has high stats. This knowledge should embolden the crooks, because John Law probably won't catch them with the manpower shortage. I've never been a home firearms proponent, but I am fast changing my mind. It seems it's coming down to self preservation, but if you opt for that route, make sure you have the proper training so you don't shoot yourself in the foot. Being a lawman has got to be one tough way to earn a living."

"I guess all the Baltimore Ravens fans can go back to the restaurants and eat now with the Steelers fans, because the Baltimore Ravens are watching the Super Bowl from the same place the Steelers are: At home."

"I wish all the old folks who keep calling and complaining about how dangerous Heelys are would pay a little more attention to how bad their driving is. I've seen plenty of senior citizens who are much more dangerous with a 3,000-pound car than some 6-year-old with wheels in their shoes."

"In case anyone is wondering where all the snow is, my suggestion is to watch the movie 'Inconvenient Truth.' You'll get a wide eye-opening understanding of what is really going on with our weather system."

"I saw where Roscoe Bartlett voted against the minimum wage increase. I guess if I was rich and Republican, I'd vote against it, too."

"The football game Saturday proves once again, the Colts are number one in Baltimore."

"In 11 years at Tennessee, Steve McNair couldn't win a big game. What made the Ravens think he could do anything for them? And being over the hill, also."
"What is wrong when we listen in to Channel 6 with the town meetings and all that goes on in there? Nobody can hear anything. It must be their speakers, or they're sitting back too far from them, or they don't want anyone to hear what they're saying but just the ones in the room."
- Boonsboro
"I see where somebody wants to buy the Tusing warehouse and fix it up, but the city has a problem with that, because it might interfere with the festivals. Are you kidding me? All the complaining about empty buildings sitting around that the city councilmen have been doing, like everybody else, and now they're telling somebody no, because it might interfere with something that happens once a year? That's incredible."
