BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - The driver of a vehicle that split in two during an early Tuesday accident was listed in serious condition Wednesday afternoon at York (Pa.) Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Quinten A. Gisriel, 24, of 15546 Orchard Ave. in Blue Ridge Summit, was eastbound in a 1997 Honda Civic on Pa. 16 when the vehicle struck two utility poles and a stop sign just after 1 a.m., according to a press release from police in Washington Township, Pa.

Police said the car repeatedly crossed lanes on Pa. 16 and Charmian Road.

Gisriel, who was flown to York Hospital, was thrown out the passenger's side of the car after it had split in two, police said.
