TAKOMA PARK, Md. - Jamie Robinson had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead Hagerstown Community College past Takoma Park.

Samantha Cain scored 14 points for the Hawks (14-3, 7-1), while Alicia Myers and Sara Davidson each scored 12. Sade Williams had nine points and 10 boards and Teonna Jewell added five assists and four steals.

HCC's Clement wins at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Tony Clement of Hagerstown Community College easily won the men's 3,000-meter run at the Gulden Relays at Bucknell University.

His national-qualifying time of 8:39.59 was nearly 14 seconds ahead of second place.

Ryan Knight placed eighth in the long jump (20-6 1/4), 11th in the 500 (1:12.30) and 12th in the shot put (34-6 1/4) for the HCC men, while Dadre Williams was ninth in the 60 (7.43) and Jeff McCauley finished 18th in the mile (4:57.89).

HCC's Ashley Lockard finished 10th in the women's 3,000 (11:38.86).

Elizabethtown's Ryan St. Clair, a Chambersburg graduate, was the runner-up in the men's 5,000 (15:43.65).

Staley scores a pin

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Gettysburg sophomore 184-pounder Dean Staley, a North Hagerstown graduate, pinned Robert Reinhardt in 1:52, but the host Bullets (2-3-1) fell 31-21 to Centenary (5-4-1) on Tuesday.

Hagerstown Senators tryout

The Hagerstown Senators baseball organization will have a meeting and tryout at Extra Innings Baseball this Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Players should bring their practice equipment with them.

The teams for the upcoming season will be 10U and 14U. Only advanced 9-year-olds are encouraged to try out for the 10U team.

This organization promotes the Pony League and all Little Leagues and does not interfere with their schedules.
